Thanks.)</p> <p>For as long as I’ve had this blog I’ve regularly stumbled on photos that are clearly not Marianne, but are being mislabeled as such. A lot of the time it’s photos of Anita Pallenberg (sometimes it happens vice versa), so I want to dedicate the first edition of “Not Marianne Faithfull” to her.</p> <p>Above are photos that I often find mislabeled as Marianne and I’ve added some hopefully helpful information about them.</p> <p><strong>1 + 2:</strong><em> Marianne Faithfull</em> versus <em>Anita Pallenberg</em>. If you look closely Anita’s face is sharper and more defined. Marianne has a softer face and usually wore her hair down or only parts up (especially in the early sixties).</p> <p><strong>3:</strong> A still from <strong>“Performance”</strong> in which Anita starred alongside <em>Mick Jagger</em>. I can see how people could think it’s Mick and Marianne because it seems like a very  intimate photo but really it’s only a film still.</p> <p><strong>4:</strong> Another still from <strong>“Peformance”</strong> featuring only Anita. I think what makes people think this is Marianne is the cigarette and pouty lips.</p> <p><strong>5:</strong> This is a photo of <em>Brian Jones</em> and <em>Suki Potier</em>. Some people probably don’t even know Suki existed and just wonder why Anita looks so “different” on some photos. So, neither Marianne or Anita.</p> <p><strong>6:</strong> A still from <strong>“The Girl On A Motorcycle”</strong> featuring Marianne (obviously).
